Local search engine optimization (SEO) services
Local search engine optimization gives a business with a real location or service area Google Maps visibility and local leads, in the form of calls, directions, and form requests from Maps and the local pack. You Go Media runs it as a scoped program: Google Business Profile, citations, accurate business name, address, and phone number details, and on-site paths that convert. We do the work, we do not hand you a checklist, and we never promise Map Pack positions.
An initial consultation is $399 Canadian, plus applicable taxes. James A. Cordeiro leads every program, and every engagement stays confidential.

What local search engine optimization covers
Local search engine optimization is the work that decides whether a nearby customer sees your business, trusts it, and contacts it. We scope five parts, and we agree on the measures before the work starts.
- Google Business Profile We set up your categories, services, hours, photos, and service areas to match what you really offer, and you keep ownership and access.
- Citations and name, address, and phone number accuracy We keep your business details the same everywhere your listing appears, and we clean them up after a move, a rebrand, or a new phone number.
- Reviews We give you a steady way to ask real customers for reviews and to reply to them. We never write, buy, or invent reviews.
- Service pages We write pages that match how people search for what you do, for your customers rather than for a keyword list.
- Measurement We define calls, direction requests, website clicks, and form leads with you up front, so everyone reads the same numbers.
Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance, and prominence. Distance is not something we can change, so the program works on relevance and prominence, and on what happens after the click.
Maps work or technical fixes first
Profile work cannot help a site that search engines struggle to crawl or index, or one that is too slow or confusing for a visitor to act on. When crawl, indexation, Core Web Vitals, or structured data are the real ceiling, more profile posts will not fix it. In that case we start with technical search engine optimization audits, then return to the Maps program with a site that can carry it. If the site is sound, we start with the profile and citations.
A local example from our home market
Our home market shows how this works in practice. See Winnipeg search engine optimization for the program we run for businesses in our head office city. We do not publish client names or results on that page or this one.
Single location, several locations, or national
One location, or one service area, stays on this page and in this program. Several locations need consistent profiles, citations, and location pages that each say something real about that place, so they move to franchise and multi-location search engine optimization. If customers search for your category across the country rather than near them, that is a national program, covered on national search engine optimization programs. For businesses in rural Manitoba and Saskatchewan, see rural Manitoba and Saskatchewan web and search.
Our local programs are for Canadian locations. We do not offer local Maps programs in the United States.
How local search and paid search work together
Local search builds the listing and the pages people find without an ad. Paid search covers the searches and the moments where an ad is the faster route. We plan the two together, so paid budget is not spent on searches your profile already answers and organic work is not ignored while ads run. See pay per click management and Google Ads management. Paid search in the United States is delivered through partner firms based in Colorado, which are not part of You Go Media.
What we refuse
- Doorway pages or city-swap pages that repeat the same text with a new place name.
- Fake addresses, virtual offices presented as storefronts, or profiles for places where you do not serve customers.
- Promised positions in Google Maps or the local pack.
- Invented reviews, testimonials, or results.
Each of these puts your listing at risk under Google’s spam policies, and none of them earns a customer’s trust.
Common questions
Can you promise a set position in Google Maps?
No. No one controls Google’s local results. We commit to the work, to clear measures agreed up front, and to reporting what changed.
Do you handle citations, or do we?
We do. We find where your business details appear, correct what is wrong, and keep a record you can review. You keep ownership of every listing and account.
We serve customers at their location and have no storefront. Is local search engine optimization still worth scoping?
Yes. A Google Business Profile can show a service area without a public address. We set that up correctly and build service pages for the areas you really serve.
Do you offer local programs outside Canada?
Not for Maps. Our local programs cover Canadian locations. For Canadian businesses that want organic visibility in the United States, see United States search engine optimization for Canadian businesses.
Who does the work?
We do. A senior lead reviews and approves the work and brings in vetted specialists when a project needs them. Responsibilities are set out in each client agreement. Our case study on keeping a human in the loop with AI shows how that review works in practice.
Request a project scope
Tell us where you serve customers, what your profile looks like today, and what a good inquiry means for your business. We reply within eight business hours, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Time, excluding Manitoba statutory holidays.
